How will this transition affect how UU employers remit contributions?

During the transition period, we will be educating our 620+ participating congregations/employers of the change, and whatever new remitting processes they will need to follow. This will likely mean that ALL participating employers will need to remit their contributions electronically. (Because of TIAA's challenging electronic process, only about 100 employers currently remit contributions electronically.)

The transition to Empower provides us with many opportunities to significantly improve the administration of our Plan not only for the UUA Retirement Plan Staff, but for the over 600 participating UU employers in the Plan. This benefit cannot be overstated. And although there is much work ahead to enact a smooth transition, we are confident we will be able to provide a much improved experience for employers and participants alike.
