If you leave your position at an employer that participates in the UU Retirement Plan, yes, you can roll your UU Plan account to a retirement plan with a new employer (if that plan permits a rollover) or to an IRA.
***If you are clergy, while you are free to transfer your funds out of the UU Retirement Plan, in so doing, you will lose the clergy tax advantages associated with distributions from the denominational plan. Your distributions, if from our plan, are tax-free to the extent that the contributions were earned due to “exercise of ministry,” and your distributions are used for qualified clergy housing expenses (up to the federal limit). The benefit does not convey to non-church plans.

Note about RMD's and Rollovers:
If you are of RMD (required mininum distribution) age and would like to roll out of the UU Plan into an IRA, you must take your RMD from the UU Plan first - RMDs are not eligible for rollover.
