You will need to set up Power of Attorney (POA) with Empower, as it will not transfer from TIAA.
Our Client Service Manager at Empower has recommended that UU Retirement Plan Participants with Power of Attorney begin mailing/faxing their POA documents to Empower so Empower may begin the review process and add the POA information when the accounts are set up.
If you decide to mail the documents, they highly recommend sending the documents so they are trackable through the mail system.
POA documents may be submitted through mail or fax to Empower.
